GUITAR BACKGROUND

String instruments, which is similar to the guitar, has been known for almost 5000 years. The word “guitar” was diverted from the word “cithara” which was music instruments in the ancient Asia and India. The word “tar” then also means string. A guitar usually has six strings, but there are also other varieties which has four, seven, eight, ten or twelve strings. There are two main categories namely Acoustic or Electric. The main difference between it, is that the acoustic guitar is not dependant on electricity to produce sound. On the other hand, the electric guitar is totally dependant on electricity to produce sound. Below these two groups, there are a very large variety of different types of guitars, which will suite every need and preferences.

THE JOY OF PLAYING GUITAR

The guitar is one of the handiest and mobiles’ instruments in the world! Other instruments like the keyboard, piano, organ, drums ext., is based either at home, school or the church, but your guitar is the one that you can take anywhere with you. Just imagine this wonderful atmosphere around a campfire, or playing your guitar while watching the sunset on the beach. This is what makes the guitar one of the most awesome instruments! The second best thing of playing guitar is that you don’t need a diploma in music to play a guitar. With enough practice, passion for your guitar and music together with a little perseverance, you can play guitar within a few months!

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A ROCK STAR

There are very talented people out there that can play guitar absolutely magnificent. Sometimes it looks like some of these rock stars is going to play their guitars to pieces any moment. Others sometimes literally hit their guitars to pieces! And then there are very gifted people who can produce the most wonderful, amazing sounds from their guitars. But the good news for you and for me is that all of us don’t need to be rock stars or people who play on TV or in an orchestra. Every human being is unique – you just play the style those suites your special character – you don’t need to be like someone else – just be yourself!
